Has anyone seen "The man from Earth"? It was made in 2007. It's about a Professor who uproots his life every 10 years or so and moves on when people begin to notice he doesn't age and hasn't aged in 14,000 years. The guy's seen history unfold. He's tired of keeping his secret, so he decideds to share this truth with his friends. He's met with hostility and absolute terror as his story rocks the foundations of their beliefs. It's a little slow to begin with but well worth watching. Well I enjoyed it.

Never heard of it. I can't remember who it was, but at least one of the older Sci-Fi authors wrote a story exploring that same idea. Might have been part of the inspiration for the movie you mentioned.

More recently, (again, I can't remember the author), someone explored this using Longinus as the character. Been quite a while since I read it, but it seems that in the story Longinus was cursed to live forever because of his role in the death of Christ. It must not have been all that great, or I would remember it better...
