So many times we welcome people to Deism who have decided that their former beliefs no longer make sense to them. They want to believe, but they need some measure of reason to go with their faith. On this basis they develop a different notion of God and then discover that what they believe has a name - Deism.

They search the Internet and read all sorts of things about Deism. They discover that there are many variations on a theme, some critical, some constructive. This board is about constructive Deism and the ways we might share in a fellowship.

As we grow in Deism we experiment and sample and try to find the best fit, yet our individual views remain distinctly out own. That is Deism. That is normal. Our views keep changing until we are comfortable in our own skin. That doesn't mean we stop searching or growing, but we stop wondering whether we will ever be comfortable with our beliefs. Change does not always mean growth, but growth always means change.

So keep changing until you feel comfortable, and then may you never stop growing.

This strikes a chord with me as I fell like I am living your comments! It feels awesome to finally be comfortable but I do realise my thoughts can change and grow! Well said mate!

You are right on Chuck!I find Deism allows me the freedom to be the individual I've always prided myself of being,as I suspect of most Deists.while some people find contentment in having all the answers,I find contentment in pondering the questions.

In this post Chuck you have articulated what I have been thinking lately and as I said I maybe an Unitarian Deist, then again maybe not unitarian but only Deist. Maybe I end up being a Sufie Deist of some sort or something totaly else, but so far one thing I am more than comfortable with is that it must have Deist in it.
Thanks
